a better answer would have been that the kids who started the fights were from ALL races.. there was a Mall fight in New Hampshire, shut down for hours.. no black people.

now, the Hulen Mall fight was mostly black, with a large Hispanic population fighting.. no matter what race, these kids are Goons, and their parents are mostly to blame. Originally Posted by Chung Tran

Whatever you feel your sentence should be / divide it by 1/10th, and I'll agree with you.

Or, are you trying to be Jebus and make the point? "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone?"...

...you'd shut down commentaries on the entire internet.

LOL (I agree!)

And - I do want to point out and again thank EVERYBODY (Especially you CT)

... what everyone here is reading and doing is participating in an honorable exchange of ideas and positions... You don't see a bunch of "F-U"s and "You're a tard" comments - this is because CT, I and the others are respectful that interactive discussion with respect is important. And all ideas as opinions are valid.

If you seriously don't believe I've examined this, reviewed my position, and openly appreciated CT offering another viewpoint (and everybody elses) - you'd be wrong.

If more people discussed things, with open minds - the world would be a better place. So (on a serious note) "Thanks CT"
It's the difference between the police being part of the community or the police being an occupying army.
Wonder if internal affairs has seen this video, wonder if there's anything else that happened and is not on the videos. Originally Posted by Poppa_Viagra

thanks Scribe, and yes, I don't know why people can not dialogue and disagree without rancor.. the ECCIE national political forum is nothing but name-calling bullshit, I don't know how those people stand it.

unfortunately, real back-and-forth debate doesn't happen well in the Dallas forums, as a rule.

I am logging out for a few hours, but I'm not done with this thread, LOL.. just for a few hours!

Has anyone noticed that the full video has been released. It's unedited too. The part that was conveniently left out is where they rushed the officer and the girl in the zipped up black jacket pushed the cop. So folks as he was trying to remove the child from a situation the mom endangered the child by putting her in...the mom rushed towards him and the girl with the zip up black jacket assaulted him...and who knows what the other countless people they had were doing at the same time in the midst of their overreacting....y'all really think he wrongfully arrested them? smh. It was one officer and quite a few people against him....smh Originally Posted by MarkHobby

BS! All people have a duty to be good to others. respectful of others, polite to others... civilians, police, blacks, whites, etc... Originally Posted by Scribe

Police don't have that luxury. They certainly have a duty and should be held to it.

so.. I went to the "rally" tonight.. the rally that was announced in the press, to be held on the steps of the old Courthouse in Fort Worth.. and...

I have never seen anything so pathetic.. I stayed for 20 minutes, nothing but New Generation Action Network (the organizers) guys standing around in a circle, chatting like it was a Social with tea and crumpets.. 3 cameras on tripods for "show".. a few others sitting on their phones, looking bored. if I had not overheard one guy bitching about how O.J. Simpson was framed, I would have thought I was at the wrong event.

I emailed them (NGAN) to let them know how pathetic their event was.. I've been to REAL protests, where there was angry people, impassioned people.. I was there, 80 feet away, when Arthur Ashe was arrested laying in the street near the White House, he would be dead from AIDS 5 months later.. this thing tonight was an embarrassment.. can't even get a few people angry in Fort Worth.. pathetic.
You can copy and paste this link. It's at the 13:40 ish mark

boggles my mind, still, that there are people arguing that the Mom was coming toward the Officer in a threatening manner, and her teen daughter was attempting to block an attack.. Mom was speaking a little bit loud, as anyone would who was just accused of failure to teach her son not to litter, by a complete stranger.. she barely moves during the entire video, and barely can move due to obvious physical limitations.

the Cops are stonewalling, hoping the Holiday season diverts people's attention to other matters. it is working.. the Media (Channel 5) reported just 12 people showed the other night, at the planned, published protest rally.

a big collective yawn from the citizens of Fort Worth.

Just throwing this out there, and will leave it to each of you to decide whether it's good or bad. Public employee labor unions are very strong, and it's likely that anything that does (or doesn't) happen to that officer will have to be negotiated with the union. At least in terms of whether or not he is fired.
