IMO the shutdown was Trump trying to recover from a misstep. Immigration is the same as it’s pretty much always been and down since 2001. He had 2 years when the GOP controlled the legislature to pass this. He and GOP saved it for the midterms to scare the populist into voting in more Republicans with crazy scary caravans. It just didn’t work because he’s unpopular except for his 30% hard core supporters who would vote for him no matter what he says or does. So I think he felt he had to draw the hard line or risk losing even those 30 percent. It didn’t work. I don’t think he has a way to his wall. Canada has a much larger border and they don’t have a wall. We have walls barriers in almost any place we can have one except rivers national parks and mountains. Walls don’t stop people or drugs. It makes people take the more desperate route of either dying in The desert or dying in the mountains. If our unemployment is so low Put them to work. Shit they would most likely build the wall even better and they work hard. Glad when my grandmother escaped Germany before hitler we werent such dicks about immigrants. My 2 cents on a hooker forum.
