So I'm curious to hear from providers if business is still slow or if it's picked up for them. I've heard that mentioned twice in meetings and I'm a newbie.
As a newbie I kind of expected going into this that I would be spending a lot of money during the initial intro to the hobby. No grandfather rates for me and a lot of meetings where we didn't click. All my meetings have been enjoyable but will I be going back for the price? I've spent probably ~$4k since I started and probably only a third of that was spent on meetings I would repeat. I realize that I have resources many do not and while I am willing to have that kind of sunk cost many others won't or can't. But I will say that I have found on average that the value isn't there for me with many of the providers I've met. For maybe 2-3 I will spend on them again. I guess this is just the price of entering the hobby until you find your providers you like. I suppose that my "meh" experience would be another's ATF. I suppose all providers have their clients who would pay more to see them.
Maybe we actually have several markets here and we're discussing them as if they are all a single similar market. IJS
They cost vs. experience so far has had me considering the SB route except for me time is more important than money and I don't have time for M&G and hand holding unless it's kitten babe (call me 😉
But I've considered it nonetheless.
