How's the diet/exercise regimen going?
This time of year provides tons of sweets and fattening food to plow thru. Those that don't have the discipline the rest of the year anyways kid themselves and promise themselves they'll stop choking down copious amounts of calorie laden food/goodies after the "New Year" and get on a exercise program so they don't stroke out when their clogged up heart freezes up.
Of course, it don't happen and the pounds and rolls of fat keep pilin' on...

I really stopped being on this site, however, I was bit curious what had changed here and took a peek. I don't usually read long posts, but I read every word of this one. That was some rant Claire! I found it interesting reading the female perspective of the clientele. God, I can't fathom the amount of stupidity and awkward stuff they must get in a daily basis. Seriously, because I know I'm a patient person, but I for sure wouldn't be able to put up with much.

I do think the haggling is ridiculous. Do you try to bargain with your doctor or barber? I've never seen the level of disrespect for a professional service provider as I have in this community. Don't like my rates? Idgaf - I obviously didn't set them with you in mind. Theres a pretty good range of options here so move on. Every time someone asks me for a discount or has a comment about my rates I want to raise them.

I was just getting my nails done while reading this and I thought about the reaction and service I would get at this salon if I told them they are charging too much for a pedicure and I would like a nice foot discount. Wow, this thread took a wrong turn. Agree with the posts, different folks come here for different reasons, both side of the fence. And, I like my rates to be respected, you don't really want the discount when the rubber hits the road so pay the proper fare and get excellent service.

I think taxes are usually added on top. So it would be an additional amount on top of my rate.
