The reason I find this entire fiasco so repugnant is the fact that Trump is treating the White House like it’s his personal property. The white house is the people’s house.... It's the people's house - but Trump happens to live there.
Not to mention that he has fired all members of the Commission of Fine Arts which has been advising the government on government architecture and buildings for the last 115 years.
And he did so because he doesn’t want an independent agency telling him how ridiculous his personal tastes are.
