I am hoping that this country can last another 100 years. Congress can no longer do their job. The only thing they are worried about is sticking it to Obama. The Senate is currently using Blackmail to get a bill passed. Congress and the Senate are trying to run the Executive branch. They should stay on their side of the street and actually get something done for a change. Do you know what would happen to the economy of the United States if we went to war with Iran? Just days before an election, you would hire a printer to make up thousands of cheap pamphlets accusing your opponent of the most vile acts. The accusations didn't even have to be true. Since there was no time to respond, great damage could be done.

We think all of this is new because we now live in a instant information society. We have the 24 hours news cycle.

One of the big differences now is The Press, which was granted special privileges by our Founders, has now abdicated it's responsibility to be the guardians of the truth, and have more or less sold out to The Democrat Party. I am not one of them, those or the other I actually voted for Bush twice because he was the best choice at the time. I thought that Ronald Reagan had a lot of really good plans. I spent 25 years in the military and have been shot at and lost friends for this country. I don’t like 90% of Obama’s actions but the Republican Congress has lost their fucking minds. If they had been in office during the Cuban missile crisis we would have had an opportunity to see how many nuke it takes to destroy the world.
