I can't read all this zhit butt, I still think Iv likes to throw it against the wall and see who licks it off ugh, besides thn
Girl. Just stop.

You shouldn't have stopped learning after only six days on here. Seriously. You think others haven't made their fair share of missteps and gotten "the talk" from staff. Go read the stuff from whe I first became a member. Hell, I still post dumb shit.

You're not a victim here. You're just not learning anything from your mistakes. You are either too stubborn or too stupid. My guess is young and stubborn, thinking you know everything when you don't. It happens. We've all been there. But you need to learn how to tap the breaks. It helps. A lot. Originally Posted by thathottnurse

Your advice to Catherine was good. I gave her tips once and I will do it again.

!IV!, you do fight an uphill battle as you were very critical and arrogant when you arrived and rubbed some people he wrong way. So you have a rep to overcome which will take time.

When arguing here, you have to remember a few key things.
Do not attack the poster, attack the content of the post.
examples:
You are a stupid cunt and a liar. <<< will get you points

Why do your posts sound so cunty? The things you said do not add up and I would be a fool to believe any of the shit you just said. << Should not get you points.

See the difference? I did not attack the poster or call the poster names. I characterized the content of the post.

Try not to get the mod involved. If they have to read pages of bullshit to comprehend the issue/complaints, someone is probably getting points.

Do not bitch about points others didn't get. They may have, but you won't know unless the mod edits the thread and publicly announces that points were issued or publicly admonishes someone There is an appearance of inconsistency and moderator communication with members is sparse. I imagine with the size of the membership, that courtesy went by the wayside. It needs to come back.

If what you really want to say is fuck off and die, then walk away from the computer. Posting mad leads to bad decisions. Better to go get calm, come back the next day and be calm and intelligent. If someone knows they got to you, they press on harder. If you are calm and you use big words they have to look up, it just frustrates them.

It takes years to have a true understanding of the interiority of the mindset of posting here. Sometimes capitulating your involvement in the entire thread will simply cause your trolls to capitulate out of sheer boredom. If your adversaries lay down fodder, do not take the bait. Simply move on to another thread. If they are cyberstalking you, it will make it easier to demonstrate a pattern when the moderators see no response from you, but instead see your haters following you from thread to thread.

I have seen better staffs than the current Dallas staff. The mental stability of some in the past have definitely been questionable by the way they operate. A g good staff member does not have a long list in his head of people he would like to toss off the board. There will always be someone or two that gets under their skin. that's normal.

Quite frankly, the board is such a hostile place, I think they should move towards greater transparency by editing any post requiring points or firm guidance. A staff member should never threaten points to the next person that... and not back it up.

There is never a good reason to close a thread. I hate thread closing. More non-point warning could be PM'd or inserted into threads, especially in the case of someone who is not normally a troll or a rule breaker. Some of us just might be PWI. (Posting While Intoxicated)

A gentle, but firm hand goes further than heavy handed moderating any day.
if a board is hostile, it is the staffs fault for not addressing both the problem users and the regular posters and not having enough transparency.

They should also sign their work. ANY edits or public admonishment should be signed by the moderator who took the action. It is hard to know who to blame when the work is unsigned or merely signed "-staff". If you can't stand up for your decisions publicly, you probably shouldn't be a moderator, IMHO.

!IV!, I do have a class on advanced techniques for arguing on Eccie and getting your worst enemies banned or at least worked into a frenzy. Feel free to contact me for one on one tutoring and associated costs.

What you have to do on this website is play the game that is this website. I have never understood it till recently. If you do not, then you will be an easy mark for the frequent posting members of this site, and you will earn points and bans from the mods. Trying to think and portray any logic does not and never will work, which is why the title of this thread is so appropriate.

If you cannot or do not want to play the game, post less often, if at all, and then maybe they will move on to someone else who does not get it yet.

I'll never be very active given the way I hobby, but between ECCIE and ASPD I have learned, you cannot just say some things.

On ASPD I once pointed out that the combination of an ad where a lady was offering sessions in exchange for things like a toaster, after a very long sob story, combined with a very long sig line that indicated some very serious personal issues, was a pretty clear warning sign of hard core drama. This I posted in the men's lounge. I got jumped and was blunt. If the guys really cared they'd get her help, and this wasn't helping.

Not only did I continue to get jumped, I found myself suddenly getting a few points for essentially no reason, from a post months old, and they were kept on my record even after the main mods admitted that they weren't warranted. Then I found a couple of people trying to hack a site I ran, and they had found the link in a post from about 3 years earlier. Yes, they had gone through my whole post history.

A few months later the lady in question was involuntarily committed and that is the last I ever saw of her. The other users never got over their grudge, and they never had done anything to help her other than take advantage of getting laid for the price of a $40 toaster.

Now, I don't have a dog in this hunt. I don't know either lady, don't know any of the guys who have chimed in on either side and frankly don't expect anything I say or do is going to change anyone's opinions, actions or how the site is run. But I know one thing about online forums; They all operate under the same rules as Animal Farm. And the first rule of Animal Farm is "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."
