My first degree was in one of those careers you do for love of the job, not for love of money cause it sure don't pay much LOL
In a previous life I was an addictions counselor and worked with parolees. The very definition of feel good, but thankless, and eventually leading to burnout type of job. Actually, the pay was good, but I could only take so much of feeling like I was beating my head against a wall before I finally raised a white flag of surrender.
I rarely mention what my associates degree is in. I will just say that given my chosen avocation it is highly ironic.
I have actually gone back to school again, and am studying to be a respiratory therapist. I figured if I am going to take your breath away, then courtesy demands that I know how to give it back. (I only chose this field of study so that I could use that line.)
Nope, no art history here. Though I am an armchair historian, art doesn't interest me much

I read the boards these days to add to my DNS list more than any other reason. For the record. I don't discuss or negotiate anything ever. I won't write 5 paragraphs to explain ALL of the reasons why. The general gist of the 106 posts in this thread is that veterans get it and newbies don't. Malwoody hits it home again. Play on the field where you are comfortable playing. Don't try to join in a game already in play and change it.
