For some posters that dont understand the spending bill was not just about fema, fema was a small part

If u read the article, you would find these republicans proposed a fema spending bill before that that was shot down

Educate yourself, it will make you look mature. Read the spending bill they rejected. Originally Posted by chizzy

Are you in favor of NOT providing aid to people who have had their literal houses torn down by the hurricane?
... No, I'm in favour of the Biden Administration NOT sending
money to Lebanon and more money to Ukraine ... And don't use
the FEMA money to re-settle illegals here.

Use all that money to aid the people affected by the storms
and disasters in FLA and NC and what-not.

Still a no vote. End result is that the funds weren't approved. Originally Posted by HDGristle

The CR (Continuing Resolution) passed on Sept. 25 approved funding of the federal govt for 3 months and injected $20 billion into FEMA's disaster relief fund. In other words, the funds WERE approved.

Not only that, but the House vote was an overwhelming 341-82, with 132 Republicans voting YES. Why do you fail to mention all those GOP yes votes, without which the CR could not have passed?

Shame on you for deliberately distorting the FACTS.

Here's another example - A bill for border security should be a bill for border security, right?

Let's not insist on "comprehensive immigration reform" that effectively holds border security hostage to Democrat demands that the millions of illegals already in the US should be granted a "path to citizenship".

You agree, right?

That's why they need more disaster funding.

Suddenly "FEMA IS OUT OF MONEY." Not true. Never was.
