The great communicator said it even better:
“Some of you may remember that in my early days, I was sort of a bleeding heart liberal. Then I became a man and put away childish ways.”
First off, it is Tea Party, not Tea Bagger -- you reveal your liberal credentials with that derisive comment regardless of what your graphs show. You need to lay off the crack for a few days, PJ. The tea baggers are just fucking nuts. They're to the right of the Republicans. And the Republicans are further to the right these days than the Klan. The tea baggers make the John Birch Society look reasonable. The crazy bitch that ran for Texas Governor for them 1) thinks 9/11 hasn't been adequately explained; and 2) thinks Texas should succeed from the union. She claimed that the Soviets had brainwashed the police in Texas!!! And the bitch still got 19% of the vote.
Second, the Tea Party movement is a small government movement whose only core issue is out of control government spend by both the Rep & the Dems at all levels of government. Both parties need them, because neither side can win with just their base. Originally Posted by pjorourke

And if you think the tea baggers are anything other than a front organization setup by the Republican Party to add to the attackers on the Democrats, you are sadly mistaken.
The entire Tea Party aparatus was set up by Russo, Marsh, and Associates of Sacremento, CA. They are long time, seasoned Republican political operatives. They set up Our Country Deserves Better (OCDB) with $1.3 M between July and November of 2009. This group, in turn, funded Tea Party Express (TPE), the group behind the Tea Paty movement. Of the $1.3 M, over $800k of that money went back to Russo, Marsh.

There is an alternative Tea Party organization called Tea Party Patriots (TTP). They have sued TPE over the identity of the Tea Party movement and who is more pure, etc. But you'll be pleased to know that TTP is also a creation of the Republicans. They are funded by Freedomworks, which is headed by form Republican House Majority Leader Dick Armey and have a former Republican staffer named Matt Kibble as President and CEO. Freedomworks is, in turn, a spin off from Citizens for a Sound Economy, a conservative Republican organization that helped George Bush by getting Ralph Nader on the ballot in Oregon in 2004. Freedomworks gets a lot of it's money from tobacco companies, most notably Phillip Morris. They are also global warming deniers.

I've watched the videos of SEIU, funded by Soros and company, thugs beating on a tea party member. The videos of leftist protesters storming the stages of conservative speakers all funded by your "tolerant" party. The asshole that flew his plane into the IRS building was a BO supporter. The democrats founded the KKK, the democrats had Byrd, a KKK member, among their rank and file in the Senate. The asshole that shot up an Arkansas recruiting office was a lib-nut. In New Mexico your union assholes are hiring day-laborers to do their protesting for them. The company they are protesting is non-union, but does provide better benefits than the union and the union members are dropping their memberships to work for the non-union construction company. What happened to party of the people?
Abraham Lincoln was the FIRST Republican. The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican. Wisconsin, two ACORN members just indicted on FELONY VOTER FRAUD, with more to come; just can't win without cheating. These are democrats; when you look in the mirror can you, with a straight face, tell yourself that your party is the upstanding model for the future? Take a good look at your democratic leaders who are under ethics investigations from all sorts of improprieties. Do you honestly aspire to the BS Rahm is pulling? Rahm, what a shining example of your party. The party of tolerance my ass! Originally Posted by DFW5Traveler
