If a woman were reported to be seeing clients in her home with the children present or even the hint of overlap... If the woman were accused of using drugs or having other's there that did....... IF the woman had family members readily available to take the child....... IF it required placement in a a facility or foster home that the state would be paying for it would still most likely involve removal.

Now there WOULD be a hearing within 10 days most likely at which time the burden of proof is unfairly on the parent to prove their environment truly is safe... It's not supposed to be that way but usually works out that way.....

With no other displayable income other than that earned from what will be looked at as an illegal activity (try to spin it anyway you want) At the Emergency hearing there is usually orders than involve 60-90 days to properly evaluate the situation.

The key involves potential danger to the child and the court errs on the side of protecting the kids....

It is not remotely fair but it is what it is....

Once again it depends on the nature of the complaint, what is said alleged and often the cse worker assigned...
