And it's more than principles. It's school boards, many have re-call petitions on them and it's Superintendents of schools. It's almost like mass hysteria that has infected all of academia from elementary through college an into board rooms. I doubt that "teaching" CRT to kids consists of presenting it as one of various viewpoints or getting into the strengths and limitations of various viewpoints. So it is not about giving kids the tools they need to seek truth. There are stories out now about school exercises wherein kids label themselves as oppressors/oppressed based on their group membership. This might not be the intent of "real" CRT, but reflects a broader mainstream definition. My guess is it will do more to hold people back than to lift them up. Instead of learning some knowledge or skill to help kids be successful, they will learn that their place is in their group and determined by racism. And they might like each other less than before.

It's important to think of individuals as belonging to collective identities.

Can people really be this dumb to think that teaching a child that skin color is all that matters in this world and the color White represents everything bad about this world? And this will inspire working together? Yes, you can teach the history of slavery as long as you don't limit it to "White Americans" and that this was a practice of all races in the distant past and that it continues today in other places but not America.
