You may know all there is to know about BCBS, but you don't have a clue as to how to insure self employed carpenters and plumbers who have been left out of the individual health insurance market.

Fixed it. (Favorable underwriting from a cost/benefit perspective.) Originally Posted by LexusLover

If you answer yes you will end up in the assign risk pool, because no one will want to insure you with a standard policy.

There aren't any more completely free markets. The closest your are going to get to a free market is when Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, Sharp, etc put their high definition TV's in a retailer like Best Buy, and the consumer can pick and choose in person. Or he/she could try to go online at Amazon.com to try to save a couple of dollars. Health Insurance and Auto Insurance are similar, but Health Insurance has unique problems, due to how the individual market is run by the Health Insurance companies, prior to Obamacare. If the congressional budget office estimates are right and Obamacare gets 20 million people insured, then that is a good thing. If your earnings are less than $20,000 for a family of 4 you will not be on Obamacare, you will be on the Medicaid program for your state. Guess who is paying for this, the taxpayer. Everyone needs health insurance not just some of us.

Do you know how many are supposed to sign up the first year?
Do you know how many have signed up so far?
Do you know that traffic to the website has fallen 88% since the first week?

2. I believe about 90,000 have signed up so far.
3. Of course traffic has fallen off, the vendors are fixing the servers for capacity and correcting the software code glitches. It's kind of difficult to log on if the machine is powered off for repairs. You are stuck on moron.

Your last comment about adult films is too stupid to reply to.

Don't tell FuckZup but so few people have actually signed up for Obamacare that if he really did (doubtful) sign up then he has outed himself if anyone cares to go looking.

You do realize that you already are paying for people without insurance? Obama is trying to make those folks buy insurance. With insurance , maybe they won't wait to go to the ER for care and thus drive the costs down long term. Originally Posted by WTF

Right now, young folks were not paying at all....that is the point of making them pay. They get the benefit of care if they get sick by way of ER's. That is not fair. I have no problem making people pay for something they may need. We do that with police and fire. They should pay for that benefit unless we have some law that says if you do get sick and do not have insurance , tough shit. Go die in the back ally. We have no such law. So folks should have insurance....but everybody needs to buy in for it to work correctly. We will see if that is the case. Originally Posted by WTF

so that after those "left-wingers'" insurance companies go bust ...

AND IT WON'T COST US A DIME! IT'S FREE!!!! REMEMBER ... Obaminable said so!

That's why the socialistic-communistic model in the Soviet Union worked out so well ...
