Late to this thread, but agree that several countries just north of South Africa are shitholes. I was there back when missions were shutting down and vacating due to the ruskies shipping in cash, armaments, other supplies, and Cuban military. Literally, pay the politicians and otherwise keep them in power.

previous immigration laws permitted chain migration but it was limited to children, parents, and siblings of the individual legal alien. don't if I explained this right. it didn't permit multiple chains down the family tree.
