Third Ebola patient in Dallas!

I think what has been said about how Ebola works is spot on in regards to endothelial breakdown. The secondary effects of the cellular breakdown is clots. When the Drs talk about organ failure it's caused by the blood clots.

As has been said ultimately Ebola treatment is about keeping the patient alive. To put it in perspective even in Liberia half the patients survive. With the best care possible we should be able to do much better than that !

That's really comforting.....a 50% mortality rate in Liberia. According to the WHO, this strain has a mortality rate of 70%.

Every couple of days, the World Health Organization (WHO) issues a “situation update” on the Ebola epidemic, with new numbers of cases and deaths for each of the affected countries. These numbers―9216 and 4555 respectively, according to Friday’s update.

Seems like the latest numbers are running right at 50% ? Do you disagree that with the best care available the US can a lower mortality rate ?
