$5 a gallon

Biden's solution to the high cost of gas is to tell Americans to buy electric cars.

He's doubling down on the same policies that created this mess.

@POTUS 3 hrs ago- Loosening environmental regulations won’t lower prices.

But transforming our economy to run on electric vehicles, powered by clean energy, will mean that no one will have to worry about gas prices.

It will mean tyrants like Putin won’t be able to use fossil fuels as a weapon.

And Buttplug Pete said Americans who are struggling with high gas prices should just buy an electric car. If you can’t afford a $6 gallon of gas, how are you supposed to afford a $60,000 new car?

.... "DRILL MATES DRILL!" ...

In 4th grade we learned The law of conservation of energy, and I’m pretty sure an electric car will need charged. I guess Peter Puffer missed that day.

Electric cars will indeed need to be charged. Most power grid infrastructure is currently being augmented to incorporate this.

First energy has put 4.5 billion into new grid tech and beefing up. The idea is to add MANY 800 vlt charging stations in the corridors of large population. DLI (Duquesne Light) also doing the same and even bought a huge 1/2 aisle in the David Lawrence convention center for the home show, where they talk about charging etc.

The Great thing about local energy companies is that the stability of pricing for electric utilities is much better for consumers vs the oil and gas markets specifically. Sure gasoline is more portable and easier to store long term currently, but as battery technology gets better, it will be a game of catch-up. Specifically there are some new battery tech organizations out in California, one of which is tied to Tesla's battery division that has a lot of cool ideas about changing away from lithium ion to another more cost-effective battery.

Jacuzzme- tell everyone what you mean about laws regarding conservation of energy. I love physics and appreciate someone who can explain that articulately when it comes to energy production / Consumption.

Point is that all that electricity doesn’t come from unicorn farts. Unless you want to build a bunch of nuclear plants or dam every river in America it’s going to come from burning fossil fuels. Considering loss, another fourth grade topic, in all those transformers and thousands of miles of transmission lines, all those electric cars will use MORE energy than just letting the end user burn it.

On the flip side, investing in your 401k is a good idea for retirement.
That statement does NOT mean you need to put 100% of your paycheck into your 401k until you retire and live in poverty.

It's called reading between the lines. Inferring information that is not being directly stated. Unless you outright believe that moving the country over to renewables and phasing out old cars for EVs is a bad idea in the long run, then you really need to change how you look at the world

Oil is a futures market. When George W. Bush announced new oil leases in 2008, after oil reached a record high, oil prices fell 12% that week even though it'd be months before any oil could be drilled.

We have $7 - do we have $8

Biden Doesn’t Want Your Gas To Be $4 A Gallon. He Wants It To Cost Even More

You paying more (and more) at the pump just means Biden gets one step closer to his anti-oil agenda. Don’t think he isn’t happy about it.

Excerpts:

It’s obvious to everyone paying attention (except for Biden and his corporate media comms shop… but that’s redundant) that the Democrat administration’s policies, not just the Russians, are to blame for rising prices at the pump. The third week of February, before the Russian invasion of Ukraine started, the average price of U.S. gas was $3.53 per gallon, compared with $2.38 the week Biden took office: a $1.15 difference. (That fact hasn’t stopped Press Secretary Jen Psaki from lying through her teeth to blame the spike entirely on Russia.)

But, bumbling though they are, the Biden administration did not just achieve rising gas prices through accidents and incompetence. Your pain at the pump isn’t just unforeseen collateral damage of the White House’s policies — it’s a very intentional result of it.

That’s right: Biden wants staggering gas prices to force you from being able to drive where you want, when you want, as much as you want to. It’s all a part of his green energy agenda, which panders to radicals on the far-left side of Biden’s ever-further-left party.

A video from Americans for Tax Reform shows Biden at a campaign rally pledging, “We are gonna get rid of fossil fuels.” Asked “would there be any place for fossil fuels, including coal and fracking, in a Biden administration?” by CNN’s Dana Bash during one of the Democratic primary debates in 2019, Biden responded “No.”

“We would — we would work it out,” he continued. “We would make sure it’s eliminated and no more subsidies for either one of those, either — any fossil fuel.” Eliminated.

In the same debate and at many other moments, Biden has made clear his desire for the United States to erase gas-driven cars for electric vehicles. “My plan calls for 500,000 charging stations around the country so by 2030 we’re all electric vehicles,”
he said at the time (a plan he’s unlikely to reach in the next eight years). If they want to get rid of your car, don’t think they wouldn’t start by trying to squeeze your gas tank dry.

When Biden’s damage control team has tried to soften his anti-oil remarks, even leftists can see through it. “Of course Biden meant what he said about fossil fuels. There is a price to fighting climate change,” headlined an op-ed in the Washington Post in October 2020.

His actions have backed that agenda up, too, from canceling the Keystone XL pipeline to suspending new drillings on federal lands to moving us away from the energy independence the U.S. established under former president Trump. That agenda has been apparent even in the Biden administration’s tone-deaf responses to the current spike in gas prices.

The average cost of an electric vehicle is $56,437, “equivalent to an entry-level luxury car.” But the financial reality that most Americans don’t have 50 grand to drop on a Tesla didn’t stop Harris from fantasizing about a world in which all of your gas-guzzling trucks, minivans, and school buses are in the junkyard.

Even in the face of rising gas prices back in November, Biden Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm admitted that in her perspective, the United States was “working through an energy transition” from oil and gas.

Wake up and educate yourself
... There IS one GREAT benefit to the HIGH PRICES.

... Voters are sitting home SEETHING as prices continue to climb.

And they will show their anger and resentment come November.
With a HEAVY SCHELLACKING of the Dems in the elections.

Dumbass Pocahontas, never one to miss an opportunity to propose something stupid has just tweeted a proposal to unleash a windfall profits tax on what she calls 'Big Oil'.

These are libtards for you. TAX, TAX, TAX

And does she not see how 'taxing' oil more just screws the end-user and in the case of 'windfall profits tax' will quickly be passed on to the poorest via the pump!

Senile Biden's plan to lower gas prices:
1. Blame Putin
2. Solicit from Putin's allied dictator in Venezuela
3. Do nothing to increase domestic production
4. Blame oil companies
5. Blather about windmills and solar panels
6. Tell people to buy $60,000 electric cars
7. Ask the Saudis to help while fluffing Iran
8. Shit himself
9. VICTORY !
