just curious any of you hiphop fans i seem to be younger then most i grew up only listening to rap like bone thugs 2pac lil wayne eminem etc

Hiphop comes in a few flavors.
I don't consider Rap to be Hiphop. Consider Rap a form of poetry done with a beat, not music.

However I like how Irene Reid did a Hiphop arrangement of this Bobby Caldwell classic.

im still in my 20s so im gussing most here hate this kind of music

songs are hard... I love music... Bands are all over the place... but.

top 5 bands that I listen to regularly:
Clutch, High on fire, Dark angel, cypress hill, Candlemass

However, i'm getting into the underground hip hop scene (hell i run a record label for some of the buffalo locals). There is a ton of talent in this area.

But I listen to all kindsa music. You can check my collection and see things from willie nelson, malevolent creation, house of pain, soul coughing, sublime, etc.

cypress hill is awesome you should check out some bone thugs n harmony music very similar to cypress hill they deff my fav rap group of all time crossroads was there biggest hit from 1996

I saw them in concert with megadeth..for their album blind, which is my all time fav music ever ...I think lol. In concert they pulled a guy on stage to play guitar and the guitar guy ..,stage dove on the crowd, it was pretty cool!
