I'm waiting for Bob Dole. War hero, husband, public servant, disabled veteran, and failed presidential candidate. Better be the same treatment by the media and democrats.

McCain really didn't do much until the end when he gave a middle finger to his party because it was tearing his country apart. His medical problem helped him to become more sympathetic towards having any kind of healthcare plan, even the imperfect Obamacare, for sick Americans.

So much for the middle finger. His medical problem did only one thing and that was kill him. Being sympathetic is only valuable when you're alive and viable where it touches others. McCain had many years to project that. He even had two chances to be president. Although he was elected many times to the senate his political career was mediocre at best. Throughout life we make friends and we have enemies, we savor our victories and learn from defeat. If we're lucky we'll touch and inspire a few soles along the way, that's all we can do.
