We've had this discussion before.

Sex is not a biological "need". People can live without sex, but not without food which is a need.

Actually, sexual intimacy is right in the middle of Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

Without a doubt, sexual intimacy feels great when it's done right.

However, sex per se, is not a biological need.

Certain people have managed to live their entire lives without having sex.

. . . Personally, I could not and would not want to do it, but it does demonstrate the fact.
