I don't know anyone that stupid. But I think you've come to the right forum for the answer you seek. Originally Posted by WTFShould he get them from you?

Being in the vicinity of others in public and being in direct contact with an infected individual is not quite the same thing. I do abhor the mandated masks laws and lockdowns the DPST tyrants are so fond of doing to destroy small business and the economy - and make America vulnerable to their marxist revolution. I know people who won't shop, and who haven't bought clothes in months, because they're afraid of Covid. Masking up is good for the economy. Perhaps unlike you, a large percentage of the population is even more paranoid than I am, and they're not out spending money the way they used to. Older people too, and they're not paranoid.
Trump would still be President if he had worn a mask and had convinced all his followers to.Interesting thought. The optics were really bad. Downplaying or ignoring the disease and not wearing a mask definitely hurt him. He wouldn't have gotten all his followers to mask up, but still setting a better example would have helped him come election day. If he had indeed been able to get most to wear masks and social distance when appropriate, the effects on the economy would have been favorable IMHO. Fewer people would have died. We could argue til the cows come home how significant the effect on the economy or deaths would have been. But regardless he would be viewed as more of a uniter and less of a divider.

I must have come in contact with a ton of people who had it, since around 25% of the people where I live have had it. I was riding in a car and eating lunch with a good friend, who came down with symptoms that evening. I got very intimate with a stripper/ATR escort one evening. We spent several hours together, and she had a cough but swore she wasn't sick. A day or two later she texts me to tell me she has Covid and I should get tested. There's another stripper who I see once a week. She had a bad case of Covid but I never caught it.
I eat out with friends and business associates about 4 times a week. I haven't stopped flying, including several trips to one of the few countries that has a bigger Covid problem than the U.S.
In other words, I haven't let Covid put a dent in my life. But still I haven't gotten it, or at least if I did it was asymptomatic. I think the reason is because I am, believe it or not, cautious. I use N95 and KN95 masks exclusively. I generally mask up when I'm not eating or seducing women. OK, when I'm not paying women for sex. I try to social distance. I try to wear glasses when I'm flying. I try to do all this when I'm with people people who either (a) aren't in my social group, or (b) aren't women I want to bang. I've been known to walk out of a restaurant when it was too crowded. And at the gym I do wear a mask and try to stay away from people who aren't wearing one or who are breathing hard.
All of which leads to my next point,

Please do not equate DPST with mask lovers. Austin Ellen is a mask lover, and she loves Trump a lot more than you do. I am a mask lover, and I want to do away with the income tax. The Republican Party must have a place for people like us. Otherwise it will splinter and America will become a one party state.
Nobody's answered a question I've posed here. Do you personally know a single person in Texas who had to pay a fine because he/she wasn't wearing a mask? We don't put people in jail for not wearing masks. Respectfully, I think it's ridiculous to equate a mask mandate with something that Maduro or Kim or the Castro brothers would have done to control the populace. Originally Posted by Tiny
