The Russian concern about Ukraine joining NATO was a lie all along. When Russia officially takes control of Ukraine with implanting a puppet government then Russia is still adjacent to NATO threats. Ukraine acts then as a buffer. And Putin looks like the unifier of the Russian empire to Russian nationalists. He wins regardless. But only in the short term.

Maybe if the world joins together in prayer for Putin to die tonight in his sleep then the world will regain solidarity from a tyrannical dictator if that prayer is answered by God.
