I think maybe it's because they've been lying to us about practically every little detail about themselves, what they think and who they are, so that an actual friendship, or any kind of relationship, wouldn't be possible, and any friendship or camaraderie that seems to exist is just an act. They probably don't like us, either. They must not, right?

You need to develop emotional strength. I am very sorry about what happened. You received good advice here-use all of it!
