Melanie Trump gave Michelle's speech to her speechwriter because she liked it, along with other material. There was no intent to plagiarize the words, but they shared the same sentiments. These sentiments are found in almost the same words in The Seven Habits Of Highly Successful People by Steven Covey. Shared resources do not constitute plagiarism.I definitely agree that Melanie's speech should be a non issue. And yes, the Trump family has been ultra classy during the convention. However, I don't think that either Cruz or Rubio helped Trump very much. And the fact that other high-ranking Republicans such as Kasich, GW Bush, and Jeb Bush did not show does not help the Trump cause. I am waiting for tonight to see if Trump puts some meat on the bones of his promises.
This is such a non issue. The Trump family has shown nothing but class and intelligence this entire convention. They are exceptional. I didn't even want to watch the convention, but I got roped into it. I never expected to be impressed by Trump or his family, but they are very impressive.
Melania's speechwriter offered to resign. Trump refused to accept it, calling it "an innocent mistake" which is what it was. This issue was over before it began. Move on.
I've watched conventions since the 60's. This is the best run, most classy, and most interesting convention I've ever seen. It's possible I could start to like Trump! Originally Posted by CuteOldGuy

You Trumpolini lemmings will never see any "wrong" in this pompous douchebag! Goddamn funny.....
