Of course there were others. Sullivan was pretty high profile simply because he videoed the shooting so I tried to make it easy for PX to research on his own. You know he didn't go in alone. Originally Posted by boardman

It's going no place at all. The Republicans are under trump's thumb. They are afraid he'll be against them if they don't roll over when he says to. Some maga morons are even wanting a new party. I hope that happens. But Republicans will roll over first for daddy. Starting with clearing him of any responsibility much as they did while he was president.

8 steps to create a socialist society, Saul Alinsky

1) Healthcare — Control healthcare and you control the people
2) Poverty — Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
3) Debt — Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
4) Gun Control — Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.
5) Welfare — Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).
6) Education — Take control of what people read and listen to — take control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion — Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools.
8) Class Warfare — Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Now, I guess if you want socialism you like what you see going on right now from the Democrats but liberty loving people(are there still are plenty) don't like it. So how to you attain those goals when there is opposition. Well, Alinsky has a strategy...
  1. "Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have."
  2. "Never go outside the expertise of your people."
  3. "Whenever possible go outside the expertise of the enemy."
  4. "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules."
  5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. There is no defense. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage."
  6. "A good tactic is one your people enjoy."
  7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag."
  8. "Keep the pressure on."
  9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. "
  10. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition."
  11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative."
  12. "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."
  13. "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. "
Tell me you don't see this playing out.
Study the French Revolution a bit and the lead up to it.

PX, you may like the idea of giving up your liberty for some measure of security but tell me what the government has gotten right when it comes to providing for the people. Health care is a disaster, Social Security is always on the brink of being insolvent. The VA is broken. The Welfare system supports people sitting around on their asses. At least Clinton tried to fix that.

We see constant failures of the government and the only ones benefiting are inside the beltway but for some imbecilic reason we want to keep giving them more power over our lives. It's irrational behavior to keep doing the same thing and thinking this time it will be different.

the main difference between the left and the right of this era is that the right thinks that the only good government is a dead government. (i'll come back to the left in a sec.) so you get pols like trump who want to destroy government and privatize everything: the post office, the military, space research, scientific research, etc. so here's the blueprint:

1. do everything in your power to ensure that govt fails. case in point: the clown that the Orange Clown appointed as postmaster general has done everything possible to ensure that the Post Office-which is written into the Constitution by the way-fails.

2. when government fails due to deliberate sabotage by insiders, those insiders point to the failure of government as proof that government is useless. case in point: Brownie's management of Fema up to and including his response to Hurricane Katrina. His bungling of Fema's response to Katrina serves as proof that government is useless and incompetent.

3. these insiders destroying government are not just unbiased government wreckers, these guys have a financial interest in seeing government services outsourced. case in point: all Rummy's private military cronies like Eric Prince who got paid 10× what the government would pay U.S. soldiers to do the same job. i havent researched this postmaster clown who is trying to destroy the post office, but i'll bet 1000 bucks anybody on this Board that he's got a scam he's working in which he will personally benefit from the failure of the Post Office, and if anyone takes that bet, i'll prove it with research into his stock interests in maybe Fed Ex, some startup couriers, or who knows what, but i smell a rat... somewhere.

so the goal is put clueless idiots into key government jobs so that they and their department will fail. then point the finger at the failure as proof of government's utter uselessness. and then advance private monied interest of the incompetent's cronies as the solution to the government's problems, at the expense of and to the detriment of taxpayers.

the left says nope, the government can do things if led by competent people who are not crooked to the core, like trump and all his cronies. give government the resources and the people it needs, and it can accomplish big things. do i need to to elaborate on some of the big things that government has accomplished when led by competent, honest people and appropriately resourced..

No one but anarchists want government to go away. That's in no way a platform of the right, not even the far right.
What the right wants is for government to stick to it's responsibilities as laid out in the constitution. That's it. Do those things and let the states do the rest as is also laid out in the Constitution.

We give the government way too much power. Now that they have that power it becomes difficult to take it away from them.

BTW, Elmer Fudd could represent Trump in this dog and pony show and he would still be acquitted because it's all political. 45 Republicans voted that the trial is unconstitutional. What makes the idiots on the left think they are going to vote to convict on a trial they have already said is unconstitutional? It's a waste of our money and their time and it's going to come back and bite them in the ass.

^^when Mitch (betta have ma monee-joking lol) tells his peeps "This vote is a matter of conscience," and you combine that with Trump's unprepared lawyers and the compelling case by the prosecution, trump has problems. 1 thing i've learned-by trial and error lol-is you never know what a jury will decide once the evidence is in.

How do any of the 45 senators who are on record as saying the trial is unconstitutional then vote to convict? They contradict themselves if they do. It's not a matter of having their mind changed by some kind of evidence. They said it was unconstitutional to try a president after he left office. It ain't gonna happen.

And I'll tell you what. When the acquittal happens they will not stop. Maybe new evidence is manufactured and they try to impeach again or they will try some kind of censure resolution. What a big fucking waste of time by a bunch of losers. They've tried unsuccessfully for going on 5 years now to ruin this guy and they aren't going to let it go anytime soon. Meanwhile that idiot Biden is wrecking our economy and doing it under the cover of this craziness.

How do you reconcile any of the inflammatory statements made by the likes of so many Democrats calling for fighting and hatred and not stopping against anything Trump said?
Now you have that loser bitch Elizabeth Warren saying that anyone who stands with Trump "must be stopped". What the fuck does that mean? I can easily interpret that as either a call to persecute or a call to violence. Well, all I can say is "come stop me"!
