Today we played horrible!!!! We still rein supreme in our division but no #1 @ the top of THIS week...Sadly it will go to Purdue, who is w/o their #1 starter so lets see how long that'll last.... Villanova if they win will get #2 and 3 goes to us hopefully and #4 to the ''Calapari Mafia" (Kentucky) lol I guess this will be a sleepless weekend waiting to see where my Jayhawks end up?.... As of till now I never wanted to watch a Big East game, I hope the under sized team of Villanova does not pull it off this weekend, well we will just have to see then lol

Purdue will not get 1 spot. The top three will not change in either poll. However, I believe if KU loses at home to K-state they can kiss a #1 seed goodbye unless they win the Big 12 Tourney (unlikely). Purdue is overrated.

Then again if KU beats K-State and MU they're a lock for 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament regardless of what happens in the Big 12 Tournament. Let't hope for that.
Sorry to say but lets hope MU beats K-State and KU beats them both. Purdue loses as well as Villanova and that will secure us a 1 seed without an appearance in the Big 12 finals.....Hopefully

I agree...it's early but right now it looks like MU is gonna give K-State a game. It's possible KU could beat K-State and lost to MU next Saturday and get 1 seed without winning a game in the Big 12 but that will be up to the NCAA Tournmament committee. But I think if KU wins Wednesday night...KU will get a 1 seed.

At this point the only thing that is in Jeopary is an OVERALL 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and all that amounts to is KU playing as close to Lawrence as possible up to the Final Four. So..an overall 1 seed would me KU would play in St. Louis for the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight which are would basically be home games for them.

I don't like it when KU is a number one overall seed. Thats when things like Helen Kellers school of the blind knock us out in the second round. A loss today wasn't all that bad of thing, leaves room for humility and gives Coach reason to run um in practice

I agree with you arealwingdinger but I want KU to play in St. Louis for the second weekend of the Tournament...I don't think whether KU beats K-State and MU in the next week or not...KU won't win the Big 12 Conference Tournament period whether they lose in the Quarterfinals or the Final. I think KU will run into Baylor, Texas A&M, or K-State again and lose. It's dificult to beat a team twice let alone three times.

I want them to lock up a 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament before the Big 12 Tournament. If KU wins the Big 12 Tournament..let it be a bonus complementing a 1 seed not a necessity to earn a 1 seed.

And K-State is going to beat MU tonight and K-State will be just as hungry as KU on Wednesday that home streak has gotta end sometime..I hope it won't end on Wednesday especially since Im gonna be there.
Your right, Its all about geography on the road to the final four. LOL It was proven last year against Michigan St a game that we should of won as we all know! We're going to keep our fingers crossed so we can stay close to home as possible. Home court advantage is key this year.

Well I am all for being as close to home as possible...never could understand how the Tarturds always ended up playing the first few games in NC. I have no problem losing one or two games as long as it feeds the hunger.
Well I'm all for it! I can't wait to see how everything pans out after the KSU game.
ESPN still has us projected as a #1 seed even though it's not their call but it looks good knowing that is how they feel about KU's situation.

Doesnt ESPN have their own poll? And how in the world does someone as young as yourself know so much about basketball, Im very impressed!
I was raised on sports center! LOL

The boys will come back. I have a feeling they'll take their loss out on KState on Wed. I'm just looking for tickets so I can watch it in person!
