Name one thing the right wing has done to help society

I didn't realize that the "right wing" (or any other wing, for that matter) should be charged with the responsibility of "helping society," whatever in the fuck that means. Always sort of thought the function of government should be to set the rules of the road, maintain such things as the court system and public infrastructure such as streets and highways, provide for national defense, and protect the rights and liberties of the citizenry.

Maybe that means I'm not "compassionate" enough. Just sort of old-fashioned, I guess.
