Fogo De Chao is very good as well!!!
I have tried a number of burger places and it is hard to beat Wingfields in Oak Cliff. They were rated number 1 burger by D magazine.

My short list :

Wingfields Breakfast and Burgers (Oak Cliff)
JG's burgers on Greenville
Babe's Chicken House in Carrollton
Deliman's in Coppell
Cristina's in Lewisville
Sugarbaby's BBQ (Closed SNIFF SNIFF)

Of course those are all restuarants, Becky still has my favorite place to dine.

The worst things about Wingfield's is it is carry out only. I think one of the best burgers, and a fun atmosphere to boot, is Lee Harvey's. Great outside "patio" area.

I agree that the carry out aspect and parking situation isn't the greatest but it some how adds to the whole Wingfields experience. I have never braved anything more than the single bacon cheeseburger. If you have attempted a double or triple then I bow to you. LOL

Recently, I have been thinking that STEEL and FISH are places to take ladies you want to impress - any comments? I need to always have a few places in my mind to make sure that special eveinings are indeed "special".

Thanks, SAS

While I was waiting for my order there was a group of 4-5 guys came in, obviously all worked together, and one of them hadn't been there before, he ordered a double. I was in my truck eating when they came out all of them laughing except the guy with the double, he kept saying there was no way he was gonna eat the entire thing and the other telling them how much he was going to owe them. Lesson: don't make a bet you can eat the burger until you've seen the burger!

Not to repeat myself, but anyone who likes a good burger really needs to check out Lee Harvey's, you won't be sorry. Hole-in-the-wall on Harry Hines is pretty decent as well, but I haven't been there in several years.
I've tried Wingfield's and it's pretty good, but sorry---it ain't The Angry Dog, which is perhaps the best hamburger in this solar system.

Agree with Fogo de Chao as the best of the Brasilian steakhouses. As for best bbq in Dallas, Peggy Sue's is ok, but there really is no great bbq in Dallas (gotta head south for that. For great seafood, Trulucks or Daddy Jacks.

Best dessert? Refer to the list of Providers on eccie.net.

Besa's http://www.besapizza.com/ bring your own bottle of wine and they'll open it and provide glasses. I only get to Dallas about a week a month but they treat me like "Norm" on Cheers
