New York state of mind

I've been wondering how the judges that have been persucuting Trump will be able to extricate themselves and their state from the Lawfare mess they have created. Judge Merchan keeps kicking the can down the road, while Tish keeps try to put the peddle to the metal.

They surely see the potholes all over the road with persecuting a US President. Looks like, at best, they would have to hold over for four years, but at what total cost to the State of New York? Bad press, waste of tax payer $$, egg on their faces - as the current cases are so flimsy, fragile and infinitely appealable.

Some wonder if the Governor, Hochul, may step in and pardon Trump across the board. But she might loose some friends and massive Federal funds in the process.

... Administrator: Former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY)

Trump also announced Monday his pick of Lee Zeldin to head the EPA. Zeldin served as the congressman for New York’s First Congressional District from 2015-2023 and was New York’s Republican gubernatorial nominee in 2022. His strong performance against Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) helped numerous House candidates prevail in down-ballot races.

Trump praised Zeldin’s legal background in a statement Monday:

Lee, with a very strong legal background, has been a true fighter for America First policies. He will ensure fair and swift deregulatory decisions that will be enacted in a way to unleash the power of American businesses, while at the same time maintaining the highest environmental standards, including the cleanest air and water on the planet...

Looks like some many folks will be soiling themselves in the grocery stores.

those Judges will decide to do the proper thing.
