eliminating the filibuster and adding say six new seats to the Supreme Court?
Seems like Trump has a mandate from the voters to fix things up...
Should this be done now?
The idea of adding seats to the supreme court is just as stupid coming from the right as well as the left. You will also note that it’s never been the position of the Biden administration. How about ending the filibuster?
You’re also making the assumption that the President has a mandate from the electorate. Winning the popular vote by a percentage point or two does not a mandate make.
The reason responsible liberals never really got behind a plan to pack the court with new justices is because it will do nothing but destroy what little legitimacy the court has left.
In my opinion this is a stupid thread designed to troll the libs. No real policy here. Originally Posted by txdot-guy

I'm a classical liberal and believe both ideas are very bad. Ever since Harry Reid ended the filibuster for judicial approvals we've been on the course for this to happen though.
As you know, if that happens, the next time Democrats control everything, they'd do something like add 15 new seats to the SC and try to admit PR and DC as states. Originally Posted by Tiny
