Adult Services removed from Craigslist...

Has anyone else noticed that the adult section on Craigslist says "Censored" now. I just noticed it today, although I must admit I rarely ever browse CL anyways. It seemed to always be the same dozen or so girls again and again. However, any action like this is always worrisome to some extent, and hopefully it doesn't spread any further!

Yeah just saw it, this must have been done very recently as I think it'd make news, but I can't find mention of it anywhere. Don't think there'll be much impact since bp is now the go-to place for these sorts of ads. Gotta think they'll become the next target.

It was done tonight. And if you notice, the Adult Gigs is also gone.

Yes, this article is about a week old but removing the sections is most likely the fallout from this.

It just took them a while to get to our area. The pruning has been going on for a while now.

I would not be cheering about this development yet. It may cause some of the, shall we say, undesirable types who frequented that place to start showing up here.

Let's not celebrate just yet. Those ads will come back in some way shape or form, mark my words...

It seems that CL and BP always are talked about in a negative way yet everyday many here browse these ads and absolutely love to find a great provider that is unknown to our community. Many providers that are here and were on ASPD started out on CL or BP. There are providers here that are less than reputable. It appears that many have this attitude that if you are here you are somehow better that those that advertize on other sites. I will agree that you are more likely to run into a "rip off provider" on these other sites but I don't think it is good to see them go.

RIP Craigslist "erotic". "adult" section. Guess I'll never read "Craigslist is not my cup of tea" here again.

Craigslist had long ago ceded the marketshare to Backpage.

Shame tho.. Id not be here were it not for CL being my first portal into this world, and it was always fun to browse and wonder, expecially at the weirder posts in 'gigs'. Now all thats left to stimulate that corner of the imagination is the 99.9% fake 'casual encounters' section.

As discussed in this thread, these ladies will find other means to spread their services.

I would venture that the "therapeutic" section will increase exponentially and of course BP will explode.
