Hotel talk

Thought there might be someone here that could recommend/provide guidance on a short term hotel room in nw austin. (Prob 2.5 or more stars)

Looking for approach on getting a cash room sans credit card (as in discreet), are there tricks or gotchas in doing this?

Also, thinking around noon which seems to be a problematic time. (Checkout 11, checking at 3).

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

I always book through priceline on hotel deals but before I book I call in advance the day before if early check in is available. I only had to pay a 25 early check in fee (which I think is stupid) plus deposit.
I checked in at 11. If there nosy and ask why. I say I have a lunch thing with someone and want to freshen up. I am not to sure on hotels. I am just moving back in Aug to the area. Good luck hope this helps

There are a few by the hr rm hotels in south Austin. For full night stays check put hotels that are grimy not well known ones.
