New To Houston Whats Good To Eat

Hey Babes I'm new to Texas and in the Galleria area and want to try that authentic Texas BBQ I've always heard about or even some Louisiana style food. I would love some suggestions.

Ragin Cajun on Richmond is a great choice for seafood.

Best BBQ is between Killen’s and Pinkerton’s.
Pinkerson looks/sounds good. I'll have to check it out. Killens is raved about problem is ALWAYS a line and I'll not wait in a line to eat anywhere. I know it's my loss but that's the way it is.

Big article about fried chicken in Houston in today's chronicle
Second the Blake's recommendation. 2nd is Pinkerson (over Killen's) if you want to enjoy the food instead of the wait.

Byou City for consistent quality Cajun though I enjoy Stick Hop more (though slightly further out).
Landry or Trulocks in the woodlands fir seafood
For BBQ near Galleria, Try Luling. I'll buy!!
