BTW, just FYI, but Indians and Middle Easterners are very different from each other. Middle Easterners like Arabs, Persians, North Africans, Israelis etc. look very different from Indians. Middle Easterners are usually lighter skinned as compared to Indians and have different facial features as well.

Middle eastern languages, cultures, foods etc. is also very different from Indian languages, cultures, foods etc.

I've asked a lot of Indians if they are Middle Eastern and they all said they're not Middle Easterners. I've asked some Arabs as well and they also told me that they don't consider Indians to be Middle Easterners.

If you want to give an ethnic background towards Indians, I would say South Asian is appropriate since India is in South Asia.
