Is this thing on? About restaurants ...

I'd like a few romantic date suggestion for 2 foodies.
Either for a late lunch or early dinner anywhere in the Portland/South Portland/Scarborough area.

Cuisine not picky because I like Caribbean (Haitian, Jamaican etc), Latin (esp Puerto Rican, Dominican, Cuban, Mexican), Asian, Southern style American etc. But i'd like suggestions of place a little on the "fancy" side. Whenever I've had dinner or lunch dates in the Portland area they've been always been in-suite with room service or delivery but it'll be a bit difference this time around.

If you care to post publicly that's fine but direct email is most preferred. Not many discussions happen here so I hope I get more responses than views lol. Thanks big time in advance.
P.S. I've looked on Yelp but I prefer personal preferences from locals.
