Terminology - by the Honest Courtesan

I know there are a million terms/acronyms for the hobby, but thought this pretty much outlines the most basic. Maggie does a good job explaining what most people are still trying to figure out. There was a time that CIM and Kissing were not something that escorts/providers did at all. But Maggie explains the changes as they happened over the course of the years and why.

For a lot of providers who are younger, starting with cbj and other safer activities is very common. I was 26 when I started providing and to be honest, had never heard of giving a bj with a condom before then. It was just natural for me to do it without one, but I knew bbfs was off limits.
Does YMMV does it mean wht the other web site says. Your Mileage May Vary, or does it mean Your Mouth MY V_____? What does it mean on P411?

I know what DATY means, that was never a question. I've seen two meanings for YMMV and still don't know. Help a guy out and no reason to be mean. I'm no lurker, more likely an unsightly fixture.

Whereas you might get some guy who posts a million reviews and thinks he is "god" on an escort review board, who thinks he carries some kind of clout and persuasion with the other hobbyists, can treat a lady differently and use his "infamous board persona" to try and scare a lady into doing something she isn't comfortable with, or get freebies, or haggle, or blackmail or things of that nature. Wow, that was one long sentence! lol

I am not saying that all hobbyists do this but by design the system has been abused. You just don't have that problem with a lurker at all. If a lady chooses to do an activity with a lurker, something she normally wouldn't do at all with most, where she wants it to remain private and discreet, a lurker is not going to rush home to post a review that he got that activity. A lurker isn't going to say "I can write an awesome review of you if you do X,Y,Z for me, and make you lots of money if you give me a discount". Reviews are often times held over a ladies head.

So I think that is where Maggie McNeil is coming from.
Honestly I have never met any active poster from ECCIE most of the gents I meet from this site are lurkers or only give input on local threads. I think her view on active posters is as frat mentality, guys who gang up on girls or share tips in how to deceive people. As long as a guy is a gentleman to me in correspondence and in person I really don't give a shit what his typing on his own time.
