Sweet.... and any ideas about a nice beer garden that happens to serve pretty good mixed drinks too?

I like beer.. but Jules is with me and she is a liquor type of chick..

You can't throw a rock without hitting 5 bars. I am a fan of the Roial on 120 west 5th. Nice place and drinks are reasonable, great scenery too I'd follow the music.

Flying Saucer on Lamar in the triangle ( ie right south of 51st) has a super selection of craft beers but if you ask them for a mixed drink, first they'll laugh and then it will suck. And if you go back they will ask you if you want another fucking Martguerita... no lie . lol

I think hoek's is the best pir in town and casino el camino is by far the best burger on earth... even if you dont wanna go bar hopping, eat at casino and get the buffalo burger ( I am not a huge fan of buffalo sauce or bleu cheese, but they make the combo into literally my favorite food )

Hoek's IS the best pizza in town?

Looking online, the site is gone, and google maps is telling me it is permanently closed down...

Personally, I prefer Stony's pizza over the death metal pizza, but that's just me. http://www.yelp.com/biz/stonys-pizza-austin

Plus Stony's truck/kitchen is set up almost directly across the street from Casino el Camino.

My secretary brought up this place today, Supposedly still open. Known more for the metal than the pie.

The music is a mixture of good death metal and bad death metal. The pizza is OK. I prefer Home Slice and East Side Pies.

I've been all over the USA and lemme tell you, the 2 best pizza places are in a small town in Ohio.

here is a kick ass song:

Well... the music is more what was on the "order" I received. Since my friend can't be here himself (serving overseas) I wanted to give him something to vicariously live though me...

Since I just got back in... I doubt I will have to find the Death Metal Pizza on this trip. *sigh*

I would also like to mention that Southside Flying Pizza is awful.
