So, I was hungry and trolling Carson St for a bite to eat. I've been to just about every joint down there. I see Tooties out of the corner of my eye. It's on 16th and Carson. Little joint, mostly take out. Carl is the owner, he's from Chicago and he uses is mom, Tootie's recipes. He has beef, chicken, sausage and chile. I sampled each and decided on a chicken/beef combo hoagie. The bread is made from a local bakery from Tooties recipe as well. IMHO it was very good. If your in the South Side and looking for something different, give Tooties a try.
