google voice

do I always have to be in front of my computer to make a call through google voice? Also is there any way to have multiple google voice number to 1 phone?

If you get the Voice app for your phone, you don't need a computer. You can set it up to always call from Voice, never call from voice, or ask you every time.

You cannot assign multiple voice numbers to same main number.

there are 2 ways you can do this...
1. through google voice, which uses your minutes (voice) the "bad" way of doing it so it fills the pockets of AT&T,Verizon etc..
2. using your dataplan... using VOIP calling... I know this works on android, not sure of IOS.

1, is trivial, if you want to know that walk in to a tmobile/verizon center or you providers service center and ask them...

Now if you are a super geek... host your own asterisk PBX on a machine or VPS you own, trunk it through Google Voice, and connect to it using VOIP...
Obviously the 'most control' you can have on your calls...
