Why do providers.....

hide behind the door when they answer it?
turn the lights down so low you can barely see?

LOL I was just wondering. Sometimes the door opens wide and nobody is there to greet you. Last provider turned the lights down so low I needed night vision goggles to see

I don't turn the lights down that low, but I have been known to hide behind the door.

Its simple. An older gent, knocking on the door of a scantily clad woman... yeah, perhaps I should hide the fact that I'm scantily clad.
Why do you not like to stand in the hallways knocking for ten minutes?
Other people, employee workers and other guests, are known to walk down the hall.

For what it's worth.. Some years ago after I saw this question for the 50th time or so I paid attention to when I went over someone's house.. A lot of people stand behind the door when opening the door. Unless it's a door that pushes out.. It doesn't just happen with escorts in hotels.

At my apartment incall I try to avoid the door all together and just wait upstairs for a hug.

When I am traveling and have to stay at a hotel the main reason I hide behind the door is so that I can push it closed as soon as possible. I have noticed a few times when I expose myself in front of the door guys will usually stop right in front of the door for a hug and lots of kissing ultimately blocking the door from being closed and chancing someone walking by getting a glimpse of everything that just happened... Some people just don't get it... ijs.
Lol sorry I did a poor job explaining this. Not your normal hide behind the door and after a step you see a smile and the door closes. You walk into a dark room with the door wide open and nobody immediately is greeting you. You have to take 2-3 steps in then the door shuts.

I have pondered that as well, and I think is is a Lady thing more than an escort thing. Guys tend to be more confrontational and it shows when the door swings open and they greet you. When I go to most of my female friends houses they will either stay behind the door, open and walk away, or txt me the door is unlocked.

I never became aware of the behavior till I started in all this, and was hyper aware of my surroundings and wondering what the reason for every action and phrase. Quickly I learned that they are folk just like everyone else and most of their habits have little to do with their occupation.

That said every time I am at a hotel and I see a guy walk into a room ungreeted with the door quickly closing, I assume it's an illicit rendezvous and silently cheer for their good fun.

I actually prefer dim lights, in fact the glow of a couple candles really sets the mood for me. I have asked to turn down the lights a few times...

The "behind the door" thing, especially in a hotel, is obvious. The lights down low is a cultural thing. Personally I want them on at least enough that I can see the woman. I don't like them down too low and will mention turning them up so I can enjoy the sights.

Low lights is one way to try to cover for old inaccurate photos - i.e., "maybe he won't notice I'm 45 not 35 if I keep it dark enough in here ..."

TFF at needing night vision. Haha. I've seen it both ways, hiding behind the door, or not. Most of the time they are half naked when I come over. Might be a good reason. Haha!
