Being Safe

I will be traveling to Pensacola next week and wanted to know what hotels to stay away from and what safe hotels people from that area recommend.

Davis Highway is your best area with options ranging from Motel 6 to La Quinta to a quite nice Holiday Inn and it's where all the shopping and restaurants are. Pensacola Beach is in peak season so is probably pretty expensive and packed right now. The ones around I-10 and car city (Hwy 29) aren't bad but nothing special, Ramada and Motel 8 and the like. The Pine Forest exit has a couple pretty decent ones but is far away from everything else. If you want to be close to the naval base there are some places on Navy Boulevard that are fine.

About the only place to avoid is anything on Cervantes, and even that isn't all that bad, but if you're going to run into trouble, that'd be the most likely place to find it.
