For instance, sometimes you will be on page 3 of a thread and know that there are four pages... but there is no way to get to that page....
Change the # of posts per page to get to the next page.
The default is 15... for best results change from the default to 40 per page. That should help.
Go to user CP> Edit Options>
then scroll down to here and use the toggle switch..... under # of posts per page
