Homemade tamales....??

I am not your typical kinda person{duhhhhhh....lol}

I am having a mexican fiesta for christmas day and need help,
where can i buy "real homemade tamales" in the Nola/westbank area???

Dee, here's an idea for a desert / pastry :

use some cake flour, egg , milk and butter, mix the batter very thin. make some soft cake tortillias, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

use some fresh fruit bananas , strawberries, kiwi or some pie filling and whipped creme for the filling.


just an idea, thought i'd throw it out there.

on the westbank, you can find a Tamale stand on the corner of Terry Parkway & Harvard ave.

No I did not get any tamales yet....but thanks for yalls advice,I may soon!

You ever come back to shreveport hun I have a guy that makes hand rolled tamales and are some of the best in the area !
He makes them spicy or mild and they are special order.
