Triple Crown

Congratulations to Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers for winning the Triple Crown in batting. I was living in Boston in 1967 when this rare feat was last achieved by Carl Yastrzemski of the "Impossible Dream" Red Sox.

Yankee second basemen over the past 20 years have been Willie Randolph, Steve Sax, Chuck Knoblauch, Alfonso Soriano, Robinson Cano, Luis Sojo, Pat Kelly, Mike Gallego, Mariano Duncan.

Miguel Cabrera began his career with the Marlins in 2003 until he went to Detroit in 2008.
