Poulaines & the new Mexican Boots

ElisabethWhispers's Avatar
Several months ago, I read about the new boot craze in Mexico and it was initially presented as a fetish, but now, I think that it's more of a fashion statement.

Years ago, I had read about poulaines, that were worn in the Middle Ages.

Why in the world would someone wish to wear these long assed shoes? I know the poulaines were worn to suggest cock size. grin. Not sure the motivation for the ungodly lengthy boots. Seems as if those boots would be very uncomfortable!

Anyway, I thought this would make for an interesting topic.

I'll try to find some pictures to post.

Happy Sunday!
Elisabeth

Could you actually DANCE with a man in those things? Not closely, I don't believe.

Do you think that there is some shock value involved?

With the shoes worn in the Middle Ages, those were supposedly to show people how long their cock was. Or it was some sort of sexual something associated with it.

And I was curious if there might be something similar going on with those boots.

I try to not do this but I just Wiki'd those boots. It's a fairly good article about the origins.

It's not a fetish. My bad.

It's a cultural thing that has to do with a musical form.

Learn something new everyday.

I wonder. Since this isn't a fetish ... should I move this topic?

Let me know your thoughts!

lol

Being from from an area with a large hispanic population I can attest that it has been in the works to develop boots to that point. Years ago they wore very pointed toed boots, usually with metal tips. Soon the toes got a little longer and a little more of a point. I had not seen this extreme as of yet but maybe I should visit Walmart next sunday right after church.

Do you ever ask yourself WHY did I start a particular topic? I'm asking myself that question now.
