Reasons you shouldn't give out another hookers number

If you are a hobbyist i have seen, which would be rare on this site, as my rates are higher than most on this site are willing to pay....
There are many reasons i ask that you email only.
Why?
If a women calls my phone, asks is this is bella, how do i know its not a vice detective attempting to set me up?
Or better yet, your wife? That hacked into your pms/emails?

I am a email only provider, this is a courtesy to you and to me.
Hookers, texting my phone number at 1:45am asking for a reference is totally unacceptable. I have no idea who she is ... or why some guy would give my number to her. If she's credible. And do you really want me giving your info out to just anyone who text me? Without me checking them out.

What if i started texting your phones at dinner time while your sitting down to eat with your family? Or at 1:45 am

Be smart guys.

It's carelessness like this that gets people busted by LE and or their WIVES.

Thank you Isabella, I totally agree with your philosophy. This is the reason I don't have a "reference list" of ladies I have seen. I keep my 411 account very up to date with my ok list. If a lady I wish to see needs more than this, she is free to contact my ok's, but I am not giving out their contact info. To me his would be like a provider giving me some of her clients contact info for me to verify her.
THANK YOU!!!!

Also as a side note, I initially wanted to be nasty in my reply because of your opening comment coming across as very condescending, but I thought better of it. But I will say that perhaps it is best not to say something that would risk insulting the very client base you you claim are not willing to pay your rates.

Isabella, I think you are mixing several issues here.

One, don't call anyone at 1 AM without explicitly having permission to do so. I agree completely with that part, though to protect against fools I typically turn mine to silent--this is true for ALL cells I have.

Second, don't give out information that is not publicly available. If a lady's phone number, e-mail, etc., is on her publicly available ad or web site I have no problem passing that along to a lady as reference contact info. If it is not publicly available I won't pass it along without explicit permission.

Third, where I disagree is with your apparent general statement that e-mail is a safer/more preferable way to communicate. The same person who can make a fake phone call could just as well send a fake e-mail. Neither medium is inherently "better". If e-mail is more convenient for you, and you say so in your ads and web site, then that is how people should contact you. But for other ladies it is more convenient via phone. Circumstances vary, and a guy should read & follow each ladies preferences.

Additionally, the more basic problem is having one lady contact another for a reference out of the blue. I think it is always better to:

--Contact "Amy" and ask, "May I still use you for a reference?"
--If she says yes, I tell her, "I will pass your contact info to "Betty"

This makes sure "Amy" is still active, it is a memory jogger to Amy about who I am, it lets her know to expect an inquiry from "Betty", and it confirms that Betty is likely safe to give my reference to.

Let see your last review on this board states that either you hit up a client for $3200 or your email was hacked. Which is it? (see attachment) Like I would want to communicate with you via email?
Google what is circled in red and I would say your email was hacked. Yeah that's right, I said it HACKED

THANK YOU Love for bringing this to everyone's attention. It is most appropriate and becoming an escalating problem.

Old-T, there are a couple of points I don't think you and others are aware of...

However it is still in their database, and not long after all that happened my number was made publicly searchable all over the net, by whatever other websites they have database agreements with to feed this info over to. SO, WHAT this means is that just because our info APPEARS public to you does not mean we have actually authorized it to be public. SO clients should never assume its ok to share our information unless we have authorized such.

Some yahoo who has my number, particularly if he has failed screening, can potentially cause a lot of unwarranted grief and drama.

And I certainly did not get into this for grief and drama

I am all too aware that some other sites like TER can be quite uncooperative at times. Sadly, you are not the first lady to say such things—and I know first hand that they are very reluctant to correct issues once posted—even when the poster admits it was an error.

However, the reality is once a phone number is out there and shows up on a simple Google type search, you have lost a lot of control over it. I am not saying that is right, but it is reality. Yes, you can try to make it clear that you don’t want that number given out, but that will only fix so much. I will never give out a phone number if I know a lady doesn’t want it given out, but I am not likely to search multiple sites once I find the information I need. But again, I would argue the same is true with e-mails that a lady does not want publicized.

Either way, once compromised the only option--or at least the simplest one—may be to change the compromised info.

I am not quite sure what you mean by a “fake e-mail”, but both e-mails and phone numbers can be equally anonymous.

Nowadays, you can't separate your phone from a computer. Hell, smartphones are essentially hand held computers that allow you to do almost any form of electronic communication. That is how tied to our phones we have become.

Also consider this, many of the younger generation doesn't know what e-mail is. Yeah, I know that is hard to believe, but anyone under 25 probably communicates via text more than e-mail. Yes, I know the younger crowd "knows" what e-mail is; they just don't use it.

I'm old fashioned, I preferred calling and talking to the provider on the phone. A few years ago, I was ticked off that this one provider wouldn't answer my calls and sent texts instead-- which ate up the data plan on my phone instead of the unlimited calling that I had. Well, over time, I've embraced texting. I've set up dates and never once talked to the girl until she opened the door. Guess we all have to adapt.

First, nothing holds 100% anonymity when dealing with the internet. And while both phone and email can have some level of anonymity, the phone is the one that opens one up to more vulnerability. Email behavior is easier to observe from afar, even if you dont know who the person is. Once a client is established, so is his email, and easier to screen and that anonymous email is no longer "fake", it has at least some profile and reputation attached to it. If that client begins behaving inappropriately and gets blacklisted, then he will have to come up with new email, new number, etc. Hence, "fake" email. Same with phone number. The inconsistency is clear.

And before anyone says anything, yes I know there are other reasons for having to get new email/phone, I'm just simply clarifying my meaning of "fake email" and demonstrating how email is safer than initial phone contact

well if both parties do their homework you won't need to talk on the phone to begin with right?
