First time in KC!

I am a little nervous, but excited to venture out to your area. I appreciate any feedback on things to do, places to see.

Where are the safest, most convenient areas of town to stay?
(PM me with that information, please!)

Good Hotels, some issues with parking for your guests though. lots of shops and good restaurants within walking distance. A few blocks north is midtown, decent area and lots if pubs and places to grab a bite. Downtown KC, quite a few nice hotels, eve bigger parking issues for guests though. The casino's just north of the river all have nice hotels but pricey. You'll need to come down to meet your guests though because most now need a room key to use the elevator. Airport area is a bit of a drive, but still just a few minutes drive from Zona Rosa. Good shopping, and places to eat. Overland Park Kansas is 15 minutes south of KC proper, ( except during rush hour, am and pm), and lots of ladies stay there as well. Much more spread out and you'll need a car to go anywhere. Hope you have a great visit, and also to have the chance to meet you while your in town. Let us know when, and I'm sure we'll roll out the welcome mat...
Two venues if you have time for some music , Knuckleheads and BBs Lawnside.
Also Green Lady Lounge for jazz.

( nice pics ;-)

Sage,
Falcon has a good write.
If you know DallasRain, somehow she always has access to an updated safe list of specific that covers over a dozen various areas of the city.
Btw, being from Memphis, you can easily start a food fight here if you ask about BBQ.

For Falcon,
Here's the map for Country Club Plaza Parking:

ECG has me print these for her whenever her girlfriends visit.
