Phone and Service Plans

Not sure if this is right forum, but how do you all manage phones? I know these might be burners prepaid phones but which phone & service plan works best to be discreet/disposable yet available. Few of the phone + plan cost >$50 a month which I feel is a bit expensive.

Google Voice is popular and free.

tracfone - $20-100 for the phone and then $20 for 90 days of service and 60 minutes [if you just text and make minimum calls, lasts a long time]. plus you can get 2X or 3X airtime minutes. plus no monthly fee.

Thanks, tried the straight talk from walmart but it said $30 plan minimum for a month + the device. This option seems good!
