Got email saying I had a PM, but nothing is there

Haven't gotten a PM in a few weeks, but got an email today from someone I have never talked too or heard from. When I logged in, nothing was there. Can providers delete a message sent?

I haven't been getting emails notifying me that I have a PM from eccie.

Apparently it more wide spread than in this little corner of the world.

I copied this from another subforum from someone in administration.

"It is a repeat of a prior pm notification, board issue they are working on it."

We have been experiencing issues. It seems to have been at least partially resolved.

Ok, so it is more of a glitch than a provider PM'ing me then recalling the message and deleting it. thanks

Especially if the destination address winds up on Yahoo. I got notice of replies to threads from 6 months ago this morning. LOL
