Meet N Greet Thoughts

So I am curious about something I saw another lady post about meet and greet potential new friends.

I find as I have gotten older having a bit of chemistry or rapport is important to me vs just meeting. What are the thoughts on this, ladies as well as gents? What would be an acceptable return for meeting and seeing if ya'll click? Or am I just a chucklehead?
