Layla, I don't know you sweet and I am sorry for your loss. I can suggest that there are organizations that will take the body for science and cremate for free. The funeral homes have this information.
A woman I know recently lost her child unexpectedly. She started a GoFundMe page and shared it on socisl media. She was able to cover about 90% of the cost. Most of the donations were under $20 and most from total strangers from around the world.

Sorry to hear about this. I've been in this situation before. I know how you feel.

The website link is not working. Please re-post or send PM to me.

Also, was your Dad a Veteran? If so, Military will provide assistance in burial.

Additionally, is Cremation an option? Asking because it's most cost effective.

Thank for the information and reposting the link now
Sorry for your loss. I see you are looking for $3500 on this linked site.

Try Golden Gate funeral home in Dallas....last time I checked was about $560
for a simple cremation. At the time, they were the least expensive in the area.

Also, Walmart and some other wholesale places on line now carry coffins at a greatly reduced rate over funeral home pricing.

ALSO, SW Medical School has a "Will Donor" program. They use the body for teaching med students and then cremate it and send remains to you later.
I've personally signed up for this program.

I know it's not easy to deal with this when you are grieving.
